The Empire State Development – New York’s chief economic development agency – led by Governor Cuomo and in partnership with MicroMentor has created a free program to set up encounters between entrepreneurs and mentors to better guide starting merchants and small businesses to overcome new challenges and grow as a solid business.
Business Mentor NY is a free, easy-to-use social network that allows entrepreneurs and volunteer business mentors to connect so they can solve problems and build businesses together.
Follow four simple steps to be part of this program.
1. Create a profile on the Business Mentor NY website either as an entrepreneur or a mentor.
2. Create or browse a mentoring request online, describing the issue that you need to solve or, if you are a mentor, look to find a request that matches your expertise.
3. Get in contact with your mentor or mentee.
4. Set up a meeting in person, by phone or video chat and start your mentoring relationship.
