This past Saturday, May 3rd the 82nd Street Partnership, with help from the Jackson Heights Beautification Group and a hard working group of neighborhood volunteers, welcomed Spring by tilling tree pits and refreshing the planters along 82nd Street with new colorful flowers. The group also worked on beautifying Manuel de Dios Unanue Triangle, the plaza space located on 83rd Street and Roosevelt Avenue.
This Beautification Day is part of the month-long program – Viva La Primavera! – at Manuel de Dios Unanue Triangle. Every Thursday and Friday in May the 82nd Street Partnership is hosting free events, such as live music, Tae-Kwon-Do lessons, Zumba classes, dance performances, book readings, etc. Come celebrate spring time in Queens!
