On November 19, 2013 the Jackson Heights – Corona Business Improvement District announced the growing support for its proposal, with petition and ballots at 1,200+ signatures.
“The new Jackson Heights – Corona Business Improvement District is building overwhelming community support for their effort to create a cleaner and safer community. The community group consisting of small business owners, local entrepreneurs, and property owners, and community leaders has been advocating for an expansion in Jackson Heights and Corona along Roosevelt Avenue and Junction Boulevard retail corridors to improve public safety and cleanliness in the area. Today the group announced that over 200 businesses and property owners and more than 1,000 residents have signed their support.”
