Mayor's Meeting web post photoThe City Council and Mayor recently signed Local Law 35, which requires the Administration to review the City’s rules and regulations at seven different agencies and identify cure periods for businesses where none exist and may be appropriate. As part of the review process the Mayor’s Office of Operations, together with the 82nd Street Partnership, hosted a meeting with over 30 small business owners and neighborhood advocates to discuss City Agencies and cure periods for violations on Monday, July 8th at El Pequeño Coffee Shop. In a group setting, business owners from Jackson Heights, Corona, and Elmhurst shared their experiences, thoughts and suggestions on rules and regulations related to the following agencies: Sanitation, Consumer Affairs, Transportation, Environmental Protection, Buildings, Fire, Health.
