The 82nd Street Partnership is working with the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC) to bring the Young Adult Internship Program (YAIP) into the district. The goal of the program is to generate jobs for young adults in the area, while providing a skilled workforce for businesses at no cost. Businesses who apply to become a YAIP internship site are able to receive skilled interns to work at their business for 11-weeks at a time, 3 cycles during the year for a total of 33-weeks. Interns work 20 hours each week and receive wages that are paid for entirely by the Center for Economic Opportunity. This is a great opportunity for businesses who are looking to expand their workforce without increasing cost. If your business is interested in applying to be a YAIP internship site, please contact 82SP or CPC at firstname.lastname@example.org or (718) 358-8899 x116.
