Assessing Your Company’s Financial Needs

Date: Tuesday, July 17
Time: 9:00 AM
Location: Queens Chamber of Commerce, 75-20 Astoria Blvd, Suite 140, Jackson Heights

At some point, most businesses require an in-depth look at their financial structure.  An expansion project, low cash reserves or a jump in expenses can prompt you to conduct such an exercise.  You might also opt to examine your financial structure if you find yourself borrowing more frequently as your sales increase, or if, for example, a customer wants to place a large order and is asking for longer-than-normal credit terms.

Running a Profitable Company

Time: 3:00 PM

The bottom line.  That’s what many business people look at to gauge the profitability of a company.  While important, the bottom line doesn’t always provide the entire picture, and using it as the sole barometer of company performance could have serious financial repercussions.

This discussion provides some simple profitability ratios and analytical procedures that can help determine your company’s present and future financial standing.  With your findings, you can identify company trends and compare current figures to your business’s historical performance.  Once this essential data is in hand, you will be able to evaluate your business in relation to your competition and industry norms.
